Rep. Veronica Paiz

Veronica Paiz is Michigan State Representative for House District 11. She is serving her first term in the State legislature, representing over 90,000 residents of Harper Woods and parts of Detroit and St. Clair Shores.

Representative Paiz serves on the House Committees for Local Government; Higher Education; Natural Resources, Environment, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation; and as Majority Vice Chair of Agriculture. She is Treasurer and Secretary of the Michigan Latino Legislative Caucus, and is a member of the Detroit Caucus and the Progressive Women’s Caucus, and caucuses for Autism, Disability, Environmental Justice, Firearm Safety and Violence Prevention, Poverty and Homelessness.

Prior to being elected to State office, Paiz was an Executive Board member of the Michigan Democratic Party Hispanic Latino Caucus and a member of Harper Woods City Council.
