A Welcome Message from NHCSL President, Senator Daniel A. Ivey-Soto

Greetings,

As President of the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL), I welcome you to this year’s virtual summit: Adiós 2020: Legislating Latino Priorities in 2021!

We have all had a very difficult year. But I am confident that the struggles we have faced together, and the lessons we have learned, will make us stronger for what is to come. During this virtual summit, you will hear from top leaders on matters concerning the Latino community throughout the country. We will hold discussions on Police Accountability and Criminal Justice Reform, the Census and Redistricting, Solutions to Diabetes and on the COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout which gives us hope for a much brighter 2021.

We are certain you will find great value in participating in our Summit programs. Thank you to our NHCSL Leadership, our Executive Committee and the NHCSL staff for making this year’s programs successful.

I wish you and your loved ones a safe and hopeful holiday season.

¡Felicidades!

Sen. Daniel A. Ivey-Soto
NHCSL President
